Welcome Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Member Companies

The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), the in-house bar association, has negotiated an exclusive agreement with Empsight International, LLC covering compensation surveys.  Under the terms of this multi-year agreement, Empsight offers price discounts on its existing surveys to participating ACC member companies. Additionally, Empsight has developed a new compensation survey focusing on smaller law departments (10 attorneys or less or revenues of $1 billion or less).  Please click on the links below for additional details. 

Corporate Law Compensation & Management Survey (CLCM)

Empsight's CLCM Survey has become the largest in-house law compensation survey in the U.S. focusing on large corporations / departments.  Many ACC member companies participate in this survey. In 2007 the survey had 205 Participants with an average participant revenue size in excess of $19 Billion.  The 2008 survey, which is about to be launched, is expected to have similar participation. The survey reports data on base salary, annual bonus, long term incentives, and multiple sub-cuts (e.g. legal specialty, law department size, law school rank, revenue, and others). The survey also provides useful legal spending and staffing analyses.

Member Benefits: ACC Member Companies will receive a 15% discount off the standard CLCM law survey price (corporate participation required - Cannot be combined with other promotional offers). 

New Survey Focused on Smaller Law Departments

ACC Member Companies with smaller law departments will now have the same type of of compensation survey resources available to them as larger companies due to a new survey for 2008.  This survey has been developed jointly by ACC and Empsight as part of this alliance agreement.  The survey will report on base salary, incentive compensation and other information on positions including General Counsel , Attorneys, Paralegals, and other staff. This survey was developed using focus group input from ACC member companies and is  offered at a competitive price point for this market.
